Armijo Family | Ko’Olina
This morning, I had the pleasure of photographing a fellow military family at Ko'Olina's Paradise Cove. The Armijos are on a two-week vacation here on Oahu, and they were eager to document their time together with a family session.
Despite their busy schedule of exploring the island, the family had managed to avoid sunburn in their first ten days here - a remarkable feat given Hawaii's intense sun! Originally, our plan was to hold the session on the Windward side, but the rain had other ideas. Fortunately, Leeward Oahu offered dry weather, stunning sun and bright blue skies, creating the perfect backdrop for our photos.
Luckily, the tide was super low at the time of our session and we had the rare treat of being able to use the exposed rock for photos as they have a gorgeous palm tree backdrop. The sun had dried them out and they weren’t even slippery!
As the session came to a close, I felt grateful for the opportunity to capture this family's love and joy. I knew that these photos would be treasured memories for years to come, reminding them of their incredible Oahu vacation!
