Baldini/Kujat Promotion

Military promotions are always a special occasion, but even more so when you change rank the same time as your sibling, your retired Dad dusts off his uniform to promote you, and the whole family flies to Hawaii for the big day!

It was such a pleasure to photograph Emilee and Elliott’s ceremony aboard the USS Missouri here in Pearl Harbor (the day after the 80th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks, no less!). There were Dad jokes, near loss of shoulder boards into the harbor, a very tired toddler, and lots of smiles.
