Dameron & Family | Paradise Cove
Having been a photographer for over 12 years, I can tell you that every session is unique and has its own special story to tell. This morning, I had the privilege of photographing an extended family at Paradise Cove near the Aulani Resort here on Oahu, and it was a truly heartwarming experience.
This beautiful crew is celebrating two important milestones — one couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, and Papa (Everett), who had been battling cancer, has been in remission for two years! During treatment, he found Hawaiian shirts to be the most comfortable to wear, and so the family decided to bring him to Hawaii to celebrate beating cancer!
Everett’s daughter Roseann and her husband, Zach are the parents of five adorable children who stole the show. Their littlest daughter was a tough nut to crack, but with the help of a silly uncle and some balloons, we managed to capture some beautiful smiles. One of my favorite moments of the session was when their little lady crossed her arms in a big ‘ole NOPE. As you look through their sneak peek images below it’s an easy favorite!
The session took place at Paradise Cove, which provided a beautiful backdrop for the family photos. The beach, palm trees, and gently turquoise water all created the perfect setting for the family to celebrate and capture their memories.
Throughout the session, it was evident that this family was incredibly close-knit, and their love and support for one another was clear. They were all dressed in perfect beach colors, and it was heartwarming to see their Papa’s smile as he stood surrounded by his loved ones.
It's always an honor to capture these precious moments for families, and this session was no exception. Being able to put their love for each other into photographs is heartwarming. I am grateful to have been able to capture a part of this once-in-a-lifetime trip for them, and I hope these photos serve as a lasting memory for many years to come.
