Sonico | Paradise Cove
This morning, I had the pleasure of photographing an extended family session at Ko'Olina's Paradise Cove on Oahu. The family is vacationing together for a week, and little Brix, who is just 5 months old, lives here on island with his Mom and Dad.
We had to reschedule this session once due to all the rain we’ve been having, but we finally had a dry morning, and the setting could not have been more perfect for capturing some incredible memories. As soon as I arrived, I could feel the love and warmth emanating from the family — little Brix sure has quite the entourage! They were excited to be together and to capture this special time in their lives. I knew right away that this was going to be a great session.
We started off by taking some group shots of the entire family. Everyone was dressed in perfect, natural earth tones, which looked great against the backdrop of blue water and white sand. We then broke up into smaller groups, taking photos of the grandparents with their grandson, parents with their little guy, and of course, Aunty and Uncle!
One of my favorite moments was when little Brix's dad held him up in the air, and he started grinning ear to ear! It was such a sweet moment, and I was able to get a great shot of it.
Overall, the session was a huge success. I was able to capture so many memories for this family that I hope they cherish for years to come. The love and joy that they shared with each other were clear in each photo we took. I am grateful to have been a small part of their special time together and to have been able to capture these memories for them.
